The edges of these pieces receive very minimal processing. Essentially, the bark is peeled back, and the edge is cleaned and sealed. Edges are not tampered with or changed. The result can be asymmetrical edges with bulges, splits, knots, worm holes and worm tracks (which cannot be filled), areas with sap wood, and dark brown streaks.
